What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot more about German and European culture. I was able to dramatically increase my German language skills. Also, it was amazing meeting new people.

It was convenient where because I was very close to the downtown area.

I'm a thrifty person to begin with. I managed my money very well.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Not quite sure.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Make an outline each week of what you "need" and what you "want". Make sure to keep your priorities in check during the semester for purchases so you don't spend yourself into an oblivion.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Once you find yourself actually immersed in a country where that language is spoken it becomes easier to practice and understand. You will find many locals will be helpful in trying to help you understand/practice German.
