The neighborhood was very safe. It was a middle-class area that had a lot of nice parks and people friendly areas.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

There were several field trips to estancias, various cities around the country and other cultural events that were well worth my time.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Health care was great. When I had my cell phone stolen, the program was very concerned and even took me to the police station to file a report.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I was able to practice Spanish with all of the professors as well as with my host family. There was a good amount of people who also spoke English, though I preferred not to use it.
