I learned a lot about myself and those I choose to surround myself with. You learn to deal with a lot of different personalities and how to coexist with people that do not bring a smile to your face. Always be the best you can be. Riley - Florida State University View Entire Review

My time spent in panama was spent mainly with the locals because learning about there culture was the best part of this program I believe. Everything else was not as fun. School was harder than other study abroad programs and the city was not somewhere you could adventure around. There was also little to no opportunity to travel... About
Panama is called “The Crossroads of the Americas”: the
Atlantic and Pacific Oceans are an hour’s drive apart! Its capital city, Panama City, is one of Central America’s most cosmopolitan urban centers as well as being a nexus for world trade while surrounded by tropical rain forests. Where else can students earn an American degree in a Latin American bilingual environment, combining the unspoiled and the sophisticated, with the study of business, science, and the liberal arts? The City of Panama is one of Central America's most cosmopolitan urban centers, mixing history and modernity in a lush natural setting. The multi-ethnic population offers a variety of cultural immersion opportunities.
The historic sites, dynamic business environment, and unspoiled terrain yield a wide variety of specialized excursions, extending learning far beyond the classroom. Short trips allow students to tour and explore the engineering marvels of the Panama Canal; Panama City’s colonial, old, and cosmopolitan sections; indigenous communities and their freshwater rapids; and the islands home of the Kuna Indians, which is surrounded by the pristine waters of the Caribbean Sea. Students learn about the culture, dances, food, handicrafts, and customs. There are also opportunities to visit
international prize-winning coffee plantations, participate in hikes and
ecotourism, join in adventurous activities through the tropical rain forest, go deep sea-fishing, sunbathe, snorkel, and even surf.
