Few cities in the world are as beautiful and fascinating as Florence. Students benefit from the richness of the city’s past as well as gaining first-hand knowledge of contemporary issues facing this modern European city. The city becomes an extension of the classroom, with tiny medieval streets opening onto majestic piazzas; and a multitude of museums, palaces and churches waiting to reveal their hidden treasures. Each week offers the opportunity to study original works by masters such as Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Galileo and Dante. Student housing, adjacent to the elegant Boboli Gardens and Pitti Palace, provides opportunities for discovering yet another side of this magical city. Included in the program are planned excursions to local Tuscan towns and bucket list locations such as Rome and Venice.
