No matter what program you choose, India will reach into you and leave its mark. My experience taught me so much about Indian culture, history, and society, as well as the qualities of empathy and open-mindedness. My travels were integral to my understanding of India as my own personal heritage and as a major global presence. - Sarah Lawrence College View Entire Review
It was definitely a worthwhile experience. I learned a lot in terms of content and skills as well as learning quite a bit about myself in the process. I realized that I am a very adaptable person and that I am a lot more Indian than many other second generation immigrants. - Trinity University View Entire Review
it helped me realize that there are really BIG issues going on. our american issues are nothing compared to an average indian person. water, shoes, beds, air conditioning, internet, food is limited; we are used to limitless. i am a much more aware global citizen - Hope College View Entire Review
YES! Learned so much about a new language, culture, religion. Lots of personal growth and confidence. Everyone should do it. - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I got to see and be a part of a culture that is so very different from mine. I learned how challenging it is to try and live in another culture that functions in a much different way. I got to experience what it is like to be the minority. I learned how to be more independent and how to be okay with be uncomfortable and unsure. ... - University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse View Entire Review
yes, definitely. I learned that I don't have to follow a certain path. I learned how to talk to people I've never met, how to haggle, how to meditate. I learned how to be calm and laid back when in a stressful event or when things do't go my way. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I love India. I want to go back for my honeymoon one day. I would even consider marrying an Indian man. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
