Overall Experience
This experience changed me life! i had so much fun but also learned so much about the Italians, the Sienese, and myself. It was wonderful and I'm so grateful. I gained a sense of myself as a traveler, a student, and an adult in a way that I did not yet see at Tufts. About

CET Siena is a great option for students who want to engage more deeply with Italian culture and daily life. Students take Italian language courses alongside electives in economics, computer science, art history, international relations, film, literature, and more. Opportunities to use Italian extend beyond the classroom through interactions with classmates, local roommates, homestay families, and the broader community. From learning about the centuries-old Palio horse race through a visit to a contrada to spending weekends exploring other parts of Italy and Europe, there’s plenty to discover. Siena’s location makes it easy to venture beyond the city while still enjoying the charm and close-knit feel of a smaller Italian destination!
