Experience Ecuador and the beauty of the Andes with this unique program centered in Cuenca. Immerse yourself in a Spanish-speaking country in a program fit for students from a wide range of majors. With a diverse offering of courses that vary from year to year, students receive between 12-18 credits from a US university. At CEDEI, students have the option to take courses from many different areas to accommodate their academic needs from their home university. Come back with knowledge in Environmental Education, Business and Marketing, English, Literature, even take a unique class in Quechua - the indigenous Andean language! Explore courses in History, Journalism, and Spanish, while expanding your experience with an internship or service learning opportunity.

One of the most enriching aspects of the Semester in the Andes program with CEDEI is the opportunity to live in a home stay where students are housed with local families. This once in a lifetime opportunity is ideal for someone looking to spend a semester as a real Ecuadorian and immerse themselves in a rich culture full of history and life!
