Overall Experience
So far, I've learned a lot about French, a lot about Parisian culture, and even more about myself, and my ability to adapt to an independent life in a foreign country. - University of South Carolina - Columbia View Entire Review
Past Review It Was Magical!
I gained an appreciation for other countries, also the history of Paris. - Marygrove College View Entire Review
It's so cliche to say, but studying abroad really was the best decision I ever made. It changed my views on life, the way I communicate with people, and made me way more independent. It's just you and one of the most beautiful cities in the entire world. You start learning a lot about yourself even within the very first week. My... - Columbia College Chicago View Entire Review
Study abroad was one of the best experiences I have had. I got to travel all around Europe, learn about immersing myself in a new culture and was even able to take classes that were not offered at my home institution. I was already planning on working internationally in the future, but studying abroad confirmed my thoughts. - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review
Yes. I definitely gained understanding for language barriers. I learned a lot about culture and that we need to be accepting of other cultures whether or not we agree with them. I now want to do a semester abroad, hopefully to Scotland. I learned so much in such a short amount of time. - University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse View Entire Review

I came back from Paris a different person. Not drastically different, but different nonetheless. I was scared of this concept before I left, but it's truly a change for the better. Living in Paris, even if only for a semester, is a lasting experience. As corny as it sounds, it'll get inside, and it doesn't go away after coming h... - Augsburg College View Entire Review
I learned how to live on my own and to take care of myself. I had a blast, and it has really opened doors for me internationally. - University of Memphis View Entire Review

My time in Paris with CEA has been the most valuable experience in my life thus far. There is not a day that goes by where I don't think about it, and I know it helped me to become more independent, confident, and curious about the world. It influenced me to return to France this year, where I am currently living and working, an... - University of Oregon View Entire Review
It deeply changed me as a person. I became more confident, more independent, more self-assured and generally happier. I now travel all over the world and never feel intimidated to be in a new place because I know all of the wonderful things that are in store if I open your eyes. I'm currently in graduate school to become a teach... - University of Southern California View Entire Review
It taught me to fend for myself, be independent, and truly not take anything for granted. - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I definitely gained a sense of the kind of person that I am and want to be. Not to sound cheesy, but it really did clue me into myself. I always had the idea in my head that I wanted to travel and that I would love doing it. Paris clarified that I do enjoy traveling and I want to do it as often as possible. Going somewhere that ... - Columbia College Chicago View Entire Review
It was amazing! I think I've become more confident and open to new experiences. I've learned how important it is to communicate clearly and be organized. I want to continue improving with French and I'm saving all my money to make a trip back! - Washington State University - Pullman campus View Entire Review
This was a new program, which explains my rating for the Home Institution Advising Overall. They only had a small idea of what this program would be like, which is of no fault to them. That was one of the most interesting parts of this trip. We had a lot of open time and options so we could make decisions for ourselves or as a ... - University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse View Entire Review

Yes, it was definitely worthwhile. I gained independence, self-respect and confidence in doing things on my own. This experience has made me want to travel more! I can't wait to come back after I graduate and travel Europe. I'm no longer afraid of venturing to a place I've never been, or afraid of language barriers. I've become a more independent person and feel like I've learned so much more about myself than I ever would have been able t... - California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo View Entire Review
Yes. I loved the entire experience. I wish I had chosen a longer program because there really is no place like Paris. I believe I will return back to France for an extended period of time someday. Yes! I am in love with Paris and cannot wait to go back. I expanded my horizons in terms of cultural and social diversity, ability to speak French with more proficiency, and just being in Europe and able to travel so easily made me a well traveled individual. - University of Michigan - Ann Arbor View Entire Review
One of the main things I got out of my study abroad experience which I utilize now in everyday life is working with diverse personalities.
