met the most amazing people, got to travel around Europe and make some of the best memories of my life Jennifer M - Hofstra University View Entire Review
I learned how to be independent, break out of daily worries and fears, push me into my comfort zone in the safest way. Kathryn Farrell - University of Northwestern, St. Paul View Entire Review
I learned a lot about being independent as I lived more or less on my own and didn't study abroad with anyone that I knew. I also learned a lot more about French culture and way of life. It was extremely worthwhile and I would do it again in a heartbeat. A student - Covenant College View Entire Review
My language skills have vastly improved since arriving here. The abroad experience also helps to build confidence and a sense of independence. It is nice to know that you have mastered another language, culture, transportation system, and food. If you can succeed in a situation as off-putting as that, you can succeed anywhere. A student - Northeastern University View Entire Review
I learned that there is an adventure in every opportunity. No matter the situation, there is always good things waiting for you. It was amazing to be in another country, experience a completely different culture and living like a local. It changed my life in so many unexpected ways. Jaclyn A - University of Arkansas - Fayetteville View Entire Review
It was 100% worth it and I would do it all again the exact if I could. A student - University of South Carolina - Columbia View Entire Review
It will forever be the most amazing experience of my life, and the people i met along the way made it that much better. I couldnt have asked for a better group, a better place to be or a better program A student - Pace University View Entire Review
It was completely worthwhile and the greatest experience of my life. I learned so much about France and French culture, but also more about different parts of America. I have grown from this program in many ways, and I am more aware of other cultures and traditions now. Stephanie W - Quinnipiac University View Entire Review
The cost was definitely an issue (and will be when I go to pay it back) but it was worth every single penny. I gained a knowledge of French culture that simply cannot be acquired any other way than living in the country. I made some best friends for life (from America) and have such good French friends that I am visiting them in... Kelly N - University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse View Entire Review
Yes it was. I feel like I have more of a well-rounded world view. EricaAnn L - University of California - Berkeley View Entire Review

Since returning to the US, I have become more involved with the International Education and Programs office at my home university so that I can hang out with international students traveling here. I'm fascinated with different clutures and I definitely hope to travel more and work internationally in the future. Traveling abroad ... I really learned more independence and trust in myself that I knew what I want and what I am doing in my life. I also learned a lot more French than I expected to! Evelyn Little - Washington State University View Entire Review
It was completely worthwhile! I learned to see different perspectives from around the world and that not everyone's culture is like mine. There are things that I like and don't like about other cultures - and that's ok! I also learned a lot about myself while abroad and truly became independent Samantha - Towson University View Entire Review
it takes time to learn, adapt, and feel comfortable in a new culture. A student - Texas A&M University - College Station View Entire Review
Yes it was worthwhile. I gained invaluable travel and cultural education and experiences that I will remember for the rest of my life. Courtney O - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the French culture and Europeans in general. I also learned a lot of language and practical skills. A student - University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh View Entire Review
It was the greatest experience I have had the opportunity to do. I loved being able to meet people from all over America who were in the program with me, as well as the French students and international students at Skema. jphead - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
A whole new outlook on life. Completely worthwhile. A student - Indiana University - Bloomington View Entire Review
I loved studying abroad, however I would have liked the opportunity to meet more French students and more students at my own level of French. Almost everyone in my program (the people I normally hung out with outside of class) were below my French level and not interested in speaking French outside the classroom. Katherine J - Western Washington University View Entire Review
My study abroad experience allowed me to consider a wider range of options, different types of people, and different types of experiences. Most importantly I learned a considerable amount of myself. Studying abroad allowed me to grow and reflect on myself as well, while learning in a new culture and atmosphere with new people. T...
