The travel was one of the best parts. I loved my teachers and got to know them on a personal level. My mom got to come visit me after my program and that definitely was a highlight of my abroad experience, showing someone close to me what I had learned over the semester. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I really would love to go back to China. I learned so much about China, myself, and about how people feel and are from different parts of America. I plan on going back to China this summer and for the next year if I can swing it. Definitely recommend it! - Pennsylvania State University - University Park View Entire Review
Yes it was definitely worthwhile. My Chinese language skill sky rocketed, and this made me want to return to China and find a job after graduation. - Trinity University View Entire Review
I don't know how much more I can say. I learned the language, culture, and history. Aside from that, I learned about myself. What my weaknesses are, what my strengths are, and how to ask for help. I learned humility, and how important it is to metaphorically and quite literally take steps towards paths where we might not fully u... - University of the Pacific View Entire Review

This program was great about pushing us to think outside our own perspective, which is really necessary for understanding China. I feel like I've broadened my horizons quite a lot. - Cornell University View Entire Review

My study abroad experience was more than worthwhile. It completely changed my perspective on China and my future career path. I discovered my interest in public health through the research I conducted at IES, and am pursuing a research grant to go back to China post-graduation. Yes. Even if I hadn't loved my program, which I did. Going abroad is an experience every student should have.
