Overall Experience
I learned how much kinder people are in the rest of the world compared to in the US, and how there are so many things here that could be improved (I've always been critical of US policy, but going abroad reinforced that). Most definitely a worthwhile experience! - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I learned how to cook for myself, explore new places, organize events with friends, how to immerse myself in a new culture, how to balance my life, and understand what is important to me. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
It was completely worthwhile, I learned a lot about myself and how to really live fully independently, especially when it came to cooking - Brandeis University View Entire Review
I had an amazing time in New Zealand and overall I think it was the best study abroad program possible. - Boston College View Entire Review
I learned a lot about the country obviously but in a way that made me want to learn about more. I also have learned a lot about myself: what I am capable of, the things I am able to accomplish, and that I am a whole lot more adventurous than I ever dreamed I could be. - Mills College View Entire Review
I matured a lot. I didn't use my parents as a crutch. I was an individual. - Trinity University View Entire Review

I had literally the most amazing time of my life and I am such a better person for my time abroad. - Tufts University View Entire Review
It was super worthwhile. I learned I can manage alone in a foreign country without anyone I know and be happy. I learned that I can be happy again, alongside the sorrow. I met new people and saw how they live their lives and got new perspectives to mine. I was brave and adventurous and did only what I wanted, and built myself an... - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Meeting people from other countries and making friends in a different cultural context, very worthwhile - The College of Wooster View Entire Review
A greater understanding of how good and bad can exist within the same person, a better ability to flow socially and make friends quickly, a wealth of knowledge about New Zealand. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Whether outwardly "good" or "bad," an experience is what you make out of it. I personally enjoyed my time abroad and have come to love the country and the friendships I have made. This experience gave me the opportunity to open up to others, take more initiative and leadership positions, and accomplish things I would have otherw... - Brandeis University View Entire Review

I can't really explain the multitude of experiences I gained while abroad, but I can say that I have changed greatly since coming back. While abroad I was exposed to new ideas, I met amazing people from around the world with different perspectives that challenged, yet enlightened me! Also, I finally had the chance to live in a f... - Arcadia University View Entire Review
Being abroad teaches you that no matter who they are or where they are from, all people have a lot in common and enjoy the simple pleasures in life. It also teaches you independence and gives you confidence in new situations. New Zealand gave me a real love of adventure and forced me to do things I never thought I would. - Brandeis University View Entire Review
Gotta go to class, but I loved everything about it, it affects me everyday and I can't get over the fact that im not still there! Want to go back, will go back. I loved it, I wish everyone could travel abroad, it makes the world a better place! - University of Arkansas - Fayetteville View Entire Review
