What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Absolutely loved it. I've been abroad a lot but it was a great way to meet new people and make some memories for life.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

There was a decent amount of work if you applied yourself but there was definitely enough time to travel.

Program was run super smoothly and everyone was very thoughtful of the students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Awesome living right in the center of the city.

* Food:

Food was good but hungarian food is definitely not known as the best in the world.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

We were with all american students but we definitely met a few hungarians and expats while living there.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Never ran into any issues

* Safety:

Super safe city if you stick to main streets. No one in our program had a problem

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Friendly people, great classes, intriguing culture, and very centrally located.


* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Not sure but hungary is overall very cheap
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Buy groceries instead of eating out

Comments: Super knowledgeable professor who was very considerate of the time we had as abroad students. However wish other students paid more attention to this valuable class since it was all in group projects.

Comments: Great class that could be challenging at time if you wanted to go above and beyond. Similar to a middlebury class in many ways. Great experience learning android dev

Comments: One of the more challenging course. It was fun to learn hungarian but it doesn't feel very applicable outside of hungarian. There were some fun field trips though and some cultural lessons.

Comments: Great class in which many high profile and knowledgeable people came to speak about the startup experiences. Invaluable lessons. We also did some field trips to local companies.
