I learned to slow down. How to become friends with those from different backgrounds from me. See place I might not have been able to see otherwise.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I truly enjoyed the atmosphere of Irish classes. The professors were extremely helpful with any questions that I may have regarding the material.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Living in a suite style with individuals from different countries allowed me to learn not only about the Irish culture, but those from Germany, Italy and Spain.

* Food:

Can you go wrong with fish and chips, porridge, or Irish beef stew? The options for gluten free were incredible. I love ADLI!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I could not have met nicer individual, than those that I met in Ireland. Their way of life, the slow pace, always looking out for others, really helped me reevaluate my life and how I was living it.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had to walk a ways to get from the bus stop or train station to my housing and I never felt scared.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

My study abroad semester taught me more about myself that I could have imagined.

It was challenging, I had work hard the summer before to have money to use while I was there. Not being able to work was difficult.
