Students may now study at the prestigious Peking University Law School (PKU) in Beijing through the exchange program between PKU and the American University Washington College of Law (AUWCL). The program offers a unique opportunity for students to choose from a wide variety of courses and expand their knowledge of both Chinese and international law.PKU has over 30 research institutes including Economic Law, International Law, and Human Rights and offers students an unparalleled opportunity to observe how China is restructuring its legal sector. Most courses at the law school focus on Chinese law; interested exchange students can take courses in Chinese financial law, investment law and administrative and regulatory law.
Program Dates:
Fall: September - January, Spring: March - July
The official language of instruction is English, however students with a
strong knowledge of Chinese (Mandarin) may have the possibility of
taking courses in Chinese.
