The Galápagos Islands is a volcanic archipelago about 1,000km off the coast of Ecuador. It is known all over the world for its unique wildlife, one of the most biologically diverse regions in the world, which makes it the perfect destination for a Marine Biology program.

You will study on the Galápagos campus of Universidad San Francisco de Quito, the best university in the country and first fully self-funded private university in Ecuador. The university is recognized for the quality and leadership of its graduates and well known for its entrepreneurial spirit, scientific and cultural development for Latin America.

You will study a marine biology class taught in English and gain knowledge about the Galápagos’ unique habitats. This is ideal for environmental science, biology and marine biology majors but open to everyone. The program will also take you on a snorkelling activity to explore sea life on the island. You will have the amazing opportunity to experience the island lifestyle and live in homestay with a local family to be fully immersed in the culture.
