"A simple answer may be to say that one appreciates what they have much more after visiting a country like Nicaragua. However, the real lesson and experience to be taken does not come from the conditions or surroundings but from the people and their way of life. "I have never been to Asia and it was a great experience. I encourage others to go, but try to focus on positive aspects of the trip. It can be easy to feel overwhelmed and upset when things don't always work out the way you'd expect."

"From this trip, I learned that not only are all Americans different, but everyone in the world is very different. It was amazing to see a different culture from my own and experience it firsthand. "It definitely worked on my patience. The educational system is the only reason for it being 4 instead of 5 stars. It just didn't fit me as well as my home university does and tried my patience. I learned so much about the rest of Europe by living with people from all over. They don't hate us as much as we are led to believe :) I..."
