"Not only did I learn so much about a new culture, but I learned a lot about myself and my culture as well. It was so cool to look at my culture through a new lens and get to live in another culture for a while. My only regret is that I had to leave."
A student University of Northern Iowa
"I learned a lot about myself and my own capabilities. I learned to adapt to new situations that I was not familiar with. I would definitely say the trip was worthwhile, it was an experience I will never forget."

"It was very worthwhile. I learned many things about the different cultures, like their food and how their language and terms are different from ours. I learned different etiquette and how different their daily lives are from mine. Lastly, I was able to see how they use sustainability in their every day lives and environment."
A student University of Northern Iowa

Paul Pins University of Northern Iowa
"The most important thing I would say I gained was confidence. Something about traveling abroad, on your own, and making it to the finish line unscathed is such a rewarding experience.
