"During this trip I really pushed myself out of my comfort zone. I have lived in California my entire life, so going on the trip alone was a big step. Because I took this chance of moving somewhere new, I really learned a lot about myself as a person and was able to refocus on what I really want in life. The trip was very worthwh..."

"Studying abroad, while challenging at times was definitely worthwhile, and my favorite semester of my college experience. Take advantage of the opportunity if you can. Abroad gave me the opportunity to reflect on many of the aspects of my life and path that I take for granted while at school in the United States. The opportunity..."

A student Illinois Wesleyan University
"I've gained so many life skills that I don't think I really would have otherwise. I learned how to speak a different language, how to travel alone, how to learn about other cultures without judgement, how to have an outside view of my own culture, and so much more. It was absolutely worthwhile - I wish I could go again. "
A student George Washington University

"As a student with only a basic knowledge of the French language, I spent four months learning about the French culture, language, and marketing (my major). A student Hope College
"How do you sum this up? I learned so much about myself, which sounds cheesy but is true. When you are abroad, the support systems you have built up back in the US are still there for you, but in a different way because of your being removed geographically. It was up to me to blossom and grow and initiate relationships here, and ..."

"I first and foremost learned what an interesting and quirky place Germany is. How rich its history is, how cool its culture is, and yet how different it is from the places I've been before.
