Direct Enrollment/Exchange

|
Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"My experience was greatly worthwhile. Due to stress caused from my visa it definitely took some of the pleasure and value out of it. I am much more culturally tolerant and people wise than I was before I did this program. I am very fluent in the language and can live by myself in the country with few problems accompanying me...."

"Yes! I was able to travel and experience a different culture doing the similar everyday life I would be in my home country. I want to travel more and perhaps I might apply to graduate school abroad. I am also considering, after my academics, I might want to live and work abroad. "

"I think learning how to function in such a different culture was very beneficial. When I first got there, I was annoyed that they weren't punctual, but I learned that they are just more relaxed about time, and loosened up."

"It definitely worked on my patience. The educational system is the only reason for it being 4 instead of 5 stars. It just didn't fit me as well as my home university does and tried my patience. I learned so much about the rest of Europe by living with people from all over. They don't hate us as much as we are led to believe :) I..."

"Without hesitation it was definitely worth it. I learned a lot about all the areas mentioned in the survey, but in particular about myself as a person. I met a lot of tremendous people and gained a bigger sense of confidence and self awareness. I cannot recommend studying abroad, in any country, enough. "
