Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"My study abroad experience was worthwhile, because being on my own taught me how to be more independent and rely on myself. It also broadened my horizons because I traveled to places I had never been to before. "

"I learned how to better talk with people on a human level regardless of personal differences. I learned how to abandon fear when appropriate and venture into new places and situations. Even though some aspects of my experience received only a few stars in my ratings, the overall experience got 5 stars because I was able to learn..."

"I learned a lot from the host institution students because their hard work and well-shaped studying ethnics impressed me. Also, there were many positive lessons to be learned from the Korean culture such as truly caring for your neighbors. "I also was exposed to a lot of the media coverage Israel was receiving in the states but, living here myself for the six months made me realize how cultured and incredible the country is. The pride the citizens hold for their own country is remarkable and how modern Tel Aviv has become, no one would believe me. I came back a str..."

"Yes, but if I were to do it again, I would choose a place the compatible with my learning style, which I do not believe the University of Leicester was. I think learning about a similar, but difference culture was nice. I did change my future plans, academically speaking, but that was a long time coming. Leicester was just the c..."

"While it set me back at least a semester, I wouldn't trade my experience for anything. It was by far the most fulfilling time of my life, and I am so much more aware of the person I want to be after traveling so independently for so long. People who think they don't have enough time to study abroad are severely mistaken. We're o..."

"My study abroad experience was amazing. I got to meet tons of people from all over the world. I also had the opportunity to explore the beautiful city of Edinburgh. My favorite part about studying at University of Edinburgh is that I had free weekends to travel all around Europe. "
Lucy S Wellesley College
"I absolutely know my experience was worthwhile. I might have been poor for the last month I was there, but it was all worth it. I have come to understand and see that The United States is perceived in many ways. To some extent, I feel as though we are a little too involved in our own domestic issues to really notice what else i..."

"Honestly haven't not improved my French and spent more money than I'd like to for a lesser educational experience I wouldn't do it again. Sure I learned cultural things but frankly, what good does that do me? Paris is cool and all until you have to literally pay for it everyday. The school and city are both wildly overrated in m..."

"Studying in Paderborn was eye-opening for me. I had never lived away from home before. I learned a lot about myself and what it takes for me to succeed in both the academic and social arenas.
