Direct Enrollment/Exchange

Direct Enrollment/Exchange is a program provider offering 1869 abroad programs. Programs offered include Study Abroad, Internship, Volunteer, Intensive Language, Gap Year, Graduate Program, High School, Research, Online Program, TEFL Courses, and Adventure Travel abroad programs in 121 countries such as Spain, International Summer Schools, Turkey, and Slovakia.
Below you will find a directory of foreign universities and reviews from students who participated in an exchange, or in direct enrollment.
In a Direct Enrollment program, students have the option of applying directly to the university they wish to attend abroad. Students can go for either one or two semesters and apply using that university's application process listed for international students. Sometimes these students are called Visiting Students, Guest Students or Free Movers. At the foreign university, they will be supported by the university's office of international students, housed with other international students and have the opportunity not only to immerse in a foreign culture, but to do so with students from all over the world.
In an Exchange, you attend a foreign university and a foreign student attends your home university, a student swap for a semester or year. Your university will handle the details of the exchange, you just need to find the ideal foreign university. Hopefully the listings and reviews below can help you down that path. You will need to contact your university's study abroad department or your academic advisor for details on the exchange because the number of valid/active exchange partners may be very limited.

"I have learned so many things that I do not even know where to begin. I am currently an intern in Italy, which is an opportunity most students do not gain when they study abroad. My school offered me an internship in the town of Sorrento, but I happened to become an intern at the school. Here, I get to work closely with the f..."

"I learned how to be on my own a lot more and I learned more about myself as a person. For instance, I learned that I am not really a big fan of drinking a lot. Like, while I was there I did have a few beers here and there, but while I was there, I found out that the most fun times I ever had were when I was with good friends jus..."

"I learned so much in just 4 months. The experience outside of classes was the best experience for me. I learned more outside of classes than in class. Being around a different culture and meeting people from many different cultures is the best experience a person could have (in my opinion). "

I made many friends (albeit friends from california) and travel..."

"My favorite part was traveling. I would choose a different program if I could do it all over again just so I could improve on my French or Spanish, but this is just a matter of personal goals / preference. Living in London was super fun as well. "
