I thought the overall educational system was valuable in that it helped me to improve my foreign language skills (in this case French) but the educational system is very different in France and I learned to appreciate the American system more.

I practiced French with my friends and my host family, so yes, I had to use language in everyday interactions. Often people spoke English but I tried to continue speaking French even if they began speaking English.

Comments: This course was slightly challenging for me, as I found the professor to be knowledgeable but not very well-prepared nor very good at presenting the material in an interesting manner which would inspire learning. I tried to participate and prepared as well as I could.
