I learned how to be more independent and improved my french. So yes it was worthwhile.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The classes would have been easy if they weren't taught in French.

On-site administration of your program

Administration at Aix Marseille was horrible. Administration of WIA was okay.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My host family was amazing and I couldn't have hoped for better!

* Food:

The food provided by my host family was mostly great and the stipend for lunch was more than enough.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Hard to make friends with French students. However host fam gave me an idea of French culture

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Well explained and I never had any issues.

* Safety:

Six always felt safe even at night

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

While there were many shortcomings for this program the eadiness of the logistics of the program made it worthwhile

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I pretty much broke even because the stipend is pretty generous and I'm a frugal person.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 100 Euro roughly
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? But food at the marche which tends to be cheaper in the long run. ALso take advantage of the cultural fund.

It was mandatory for us to speak in french
