Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Not nearly as difficult/time consuming as Trinity.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Our program director was new and so she knew as little as we did about Belgium.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

It was obvious they struggled to get my apartment last since all the other apartments lived walking distance (didnt have to pay extra for traveling expenses) and were much bigger and had better resources (microwave, wi-fi,washer and dryer)

* Food:

Frites, Waffles, Chocolate, Mussels...all so good.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Vesalius was way too international and I had to really try to get to know any locals.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Just be careful going out around downtown at night by yourself. Like any other city, you just have to be smart but overall it is a pretty safe city.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It was relatively easier but of course being Europe it was still pricey at times.
