About

Each summer, Vanderbilt in Venice allows American and European law students an opportunity to gain an invaluable international perspective. Directed by Professor Michael Newton, Vanderbilt in Venice brings together a maximum of 40 students with four professors to study selected topics in international law in the rich cultural center of Venice, Italy.

Courses are taught in English, and the faculty includes members of the Vanderbilt Law faculty as well as faculty from the University of Venice.

Field trips have previously included a tour of the historic cities of Treviso and Verona, a Laguna boat tour to the islands of Burano and Torcello, a visit to a Murano glass factory, and a vineyard tour and dinner.
