What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about my own identity and others. I learned that although people are different everywhere, we are also very much the same in a lot of ways as well.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

You live in a house with all the other students from valpo. It's not a bad living experience, usually. It is much nicer than the dorms on campus. <br /><br />

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

they are wonderful, if you choose to find them and partake.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? It's hard for me to say how much a week, but i spent 3500$ dollars. I did not travel as much as others, or it would have been more.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Some places, you have to pay to use public restrooms. It's about 50 cents.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Fluent
Language acquisition improvement?

English is English, but i now know a lot of Britishism, which is always useful when reading books or watching TV/movies from the UK. :)

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? it's fantastic. it's a nice way to open your mind, especially if you like to be intellectual.
