Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I really didnt care for our on-site coordinator, she was unorganized and just lacked people skills. she was friendly but that was really only her good attribute.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The neighborhood was great, really far away from campus but close to the downtown area and beaches

* Food:

Restaurants were good but very expensive!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved all of the people i met and really enjoyed living really close to the beaches.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Way too much...i spent probably a total of $6000 on personal expenses and food, granted i travelled a lot but if you want to travel and not starve to death i would save up as much money as you possibly can!
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? never eat out and buy ramen noodles!

Language

Course Department: DESN2300
Instructor: Allan Morse
Instruction Language: English (australian)
Comments: Really difficult course. I have taken design courses before but I have never been in a course that lacked so much organization and I would get up to 10 emails a day from this professor trying to explain thing for a project. I would not recommend this course to any student studying abroad.
Credit Transfer Issues: Not yet.
