Studying in Shanghai was amazing and completely worthwhile. My Chinese improved substantially, and I made friends all over China as well as America that I plan to stay in touch with my whole life.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Eating near schools is generally cheaper, Chinese people are very price conscious when it comes to students and they adjust prices accordingly.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? When you go out to eat, order for yourself in Chinese. Make lots of local friends on campus and try to surround yourself with locals instead of only hanging out with study abroad students.
