Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Though the classroom sessions were easy a semester of studying only Spanish and then practicing daily in a with locals was a great academic experience.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were very informative and did not hover over us like a parent would. However a few more optional activities would have been nice.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Apartment in a nice part of the city.

Great location and understanding family.

* Food:

I was fed well.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I had a lot of fun.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Many people were robbed, but the program did their best to warn and prepare us.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Partying can be expensive! Don't go out every single night.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Beginner
Language acquisition improvement?

Chilean Spanish is hard. Plus it would have been easier with less Americans.
