Studying abroad, helped me get out of my comfort zone. Learning and at the same time experiencing a different culture made me grow as an individual. It expanded my views towards life and the world. I definately recommend studying abroad in Santiago, Chile, it is a priceless life time experience.

The workload was just perfect to give the student time to explore Santiago and its surroundings. The grading system did vary a little just because in the US we have a lettering grading system, and in Chile it is a number grading system, ex: 1-7, an A is considered to be a 7. My professor was great, there was a lot of class discussion analyzing poetry. |

My host country program administration was great. There are no words to thank them for all of their support. They were very helpful in every aspect, they made me feel like home. When I left Chile, I felt as if a piece of me stayed behind. It was hard to say goodbye to my family and friends here, but even harder to say goodbye to my chilean host family and friends. |

| Comments: | The course was very interesting, we read poetry from Juana de Ibarbourou, Pablo Neruda, Ernesto Cardenal, and Jorge Teillier. This poetry class, expanded my views towards poetry because not only did I learn how to understand poetry but I also learned how to analyze each verse and its representation on the poet and on his life experiences. Also, I learned alot about poetry and its historical context. |
| Credit Transfer Issues: | No, no issues at all. The study abroad program, USAC, was in charge of sending my transcript to my home university, and once there, my study abroad advisor did all the paperwork to validate my course grade into my academic transcript. |
