I learned that stereotypes about Russia were wrong, learned to stay calm in nervous situation, improved my communication skills.

There are many possibilities to integrate in a local culture: Russian student volunteers helping with adaptation, festivals and events, neighbours in the dormitory.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

There is a hospital near the dormitory.

Living is safe: dormitory is not located on the outskirts, there is much lightning on the streets.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? It actually depends on the type of student's needs. Anyway, there are many ways of saving money: discounts for students (with student's ID), students' cards for public transport, discount cards for supermarkets. If you want to buy clothes, wait for a sale period. Cook your food at home: it is cheaper than eating out.
