What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It's cool. During my studies I got a bunch of new experiences. I walked around the city with Russian students. My program includes the study of the Russian language, it's very strange, but intresting language. Yekaterinburg beautiful city. The nature of the Ural unusual.

Cozy and comfortable hostel, friendly neighbors.

Russian food in diverse and delicious. I think it's worth a try.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

People are friendly, but the level of English is low. There is a slight language barrier. Fortunately program provides assistance in adapting to a different enviroment.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

There is a hospital at the university where you are at any time.

* Safety:

Life is pretty safe (bears do not walk).

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

To come and settle you need 50,000 rubles, about $ 600. A week spent 2,000 rubles, about $25. Life is pretty cheap.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Cheaper to cook at home than in cafe. There are special cards for public transport. You can ger a discount with a student ticket.
