The course provides students with a perspective on the history, cultural history, and contemporary life and issues of a vibrant, modern European city. Using example material from the art and architecture of Munich, students will have the opportunity to become familiar with major periods and epochs in the cultural development of Europe. A major purpose of the course is to allow students to experience Munich and perform on-site research for their individual project.
