What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, it has opened my eyes culturally. I also really want to come back at some point, I would love to work for a company that has international offices.

Pochy has taught in the US so she knew what to expect from us, and I felt that she did an absolutely great job. My expectations were met.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Neighborhood was very safe, right by class. a little walk to the downtown but not bad. treated as a family member from day 1.

* Food:

my host mom is a great cook, always had plenty to eat. however, recommend trying restaurants in the centro too. schoppdog is always fun.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Trip to Putre was pretty good, the excursions were good overall. Pablo, our tour guide, was very nice.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

i always felt safe, but the girls wouldnt feel safe walking by themselves. especially at night, we were advised to not ever walk by ourselves.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

My family and 'primos'/conversation partners. Definitely had to use spanish. Some did, but definitely not most.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Studying Abroad is one of those things where, if you over think it, you can always come up with enough excuses to not do it. However, I would really advise everyone to have this experience. It has definitely opened my eyes to another culture, and I have enjoyed my time here.
