What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned so much about China by being there that will help me in the future. This was the experience of a lifetime and it was definitely worth it.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I was able to learn a ton about China and myself while being submersed in such an interesting culture. I can't wait to go back! I love China!

The Asia Institute was amazing and helped us with whatever we needed.

The hotels we stayed in were more than I expected--they were extremely nice.

Soup dumplings are amazing, but most of the food was really good too.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I really felt the chance to connect with a place unfamiliar to me and learn about a culture other than my own.
