It makes me want to learn about cultures other than mine. It makes me appreciate my life and what I hold important to me.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I enjoyed the difference in teaching methods from iowa to nicaragua. Visiting the disability school was an eye opener because I have never been able to attend something like that in the past.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

My expectations were met 100%. We were able to have access to a phone at the beginning of the trip which was nice to let loved ones that we arrived safely. Also there was wireless connections at the hotel that I could pick up on my ipod and access the internet for email.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Only thing I didn't enjoy was the cold showers

* Food:

Tip Top was a way good restaurant and pizza hut so it isn't such a culture shock

I really enjoyed House of Hope
