What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, very much so. I learned a lot about myself and the culture of Italy. It opened my eyes to things that USA should do to lessen our carbon footprint.

We used phrases everyday while communicating with the locals. But when that failed, English was used.
