Study Abroad at a highly ranked university in Cyprus the meeting point of Europe, Asia and Africa.  Ancient Greeks, Egyptians and Romans along with Crusaders, Byzantines, Franks and Ottomans have all left a powerful legacy for this now very modern nation.  Endowed with golden beaches, virgin green forests and other natural wonders, the environment is one of the healthiest in the world, crime is almost non-existent.

The Semester in Cyprus study abroad program is based at the University of Nicosia, the leading university in Cyprus. Students select up to five courses from hundreds available in over 70 different programs of study that the University of Nicosia offers.  Located in the capital of Cyprus, the University of Nicosia is a global education hub with 20% of its 5,000 students coming from abroad, representing over 60 different countries with a wide range of courses in English.

The University of Nicosia offers accredited bachelor's coursework in the School of Business, School of Humanities, Social Sciences and Law, and School of Sciences and Engineering. We have educated tens of thousands of college students, hailing from every corner of the world, over the past thirty years in Cyprus. You will be in experienced and immensely knowledgeable local hands with us here.    

In addition to the academic coursework, students participate in a series of educational trips and cultural excursions within Cyprus. The excursions and cultural events ensure that students visit major cities in Cyprus, develop a relationship with the local culture and enhance their intercultural competencies. This study abroad program is appropriate for a wide range of students.

University of Nicosia - Global Semesters Scholarships

This award is for semester students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above. Students must mail their official transcript to Global Learning Semesters for verification. This award can only be combined with our Early Deposit Discount.

Fall: April 15th Spring: July 15th

Guidelines/Requirements:
The awards will be distributed on a rolling basis as a discount on program fees, to admitted students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above who request consideration until the spots are filled. There are 100 spots per semester. The GPA will be verified by an official transcript received by mail. We strongly recommend that students apply for this program before April 15th for Fall programs and before July 15th for Spring programs.

Global Learning Semesters awards the Takis Chrysanthou Honored Scholar Award to one student each semester. The student must be attending a semester-long program that is home-based in Cyprus. The award winner is selected based on academic merit, expected contribution to the group experience, and financial need. This award is a $2,500 discount that is credited against program fees.
