Knowledge on how to be more independent and self-reliant, I practiced culturally relativity to be more open-minded to learning about countries in ways I never had before, and took the overall opportunity to be reflective and constructive of my experiences as an American
Personal Information

Review Your Program
* Overall educational experience
Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
|
* Host Country Program Administration
On-site administration of your program |
Program Coordinators were hospitable to us, cautious for our well-being, but remained overall un-involved in affairs unless there was an excursion |
* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
Apartment was fine, but could have been better with closer roommates |
* Food: |
Local food was amazing, but I cooked for myself the majority of the time |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Being a student at UNic provided much of my integrative experience, as the area immediately local to the campus does not offer much in the way of activities or intimate exposure to local culture |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
Facilities requests were filled. But all bedding should be washed (including comforter and pillow cases) |
* Safety: |
Did not face many issues, nor did I worry about getting into trouble |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
No
Would have preferred living in the locality of an area with more to do; also would have loved to travel across Europe in the beginning of the program like I signed up for |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
|
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $50-$100/week |
