Deciding to go on a study abroad experience to the University of Liverpool was one of the best decisions I have ever made. First of all, the city was amazing, full of character, music and art, there 's always something to do. Liverpool isn't a massive city either, so you don't feel overwhelmed but there is always something to do... A student - Victoria University of Wellington View Entire Review
I gained more independence definitely, a knowledge of budgeting and planning. Definitely worthwhile Nikki A - Monash University View Entire Review
I learned about countries and cultures from all over the world, not just the UK. I made tons of great friends and got to meet some of their families during my travels, which really helped it to sink in that I was experiencing completely new things Jacob Woodbury - Washington State University View Entire Review
The most value experience I gained was independence. This was my first time living out of home and at in a university environment. Therefore this experience allowed me to stand on my own two feet and step out of my comfort zone. In turn, I’ve made lifelong friends all over the world and have much more independence. It was definitely worthwhile. I learned a lot about myself during this experience. Living away from home in a foreign country gives you a completely different perspective. I was lucky enough to make heaps of local friends who showed me cool areas around Liverpool. Sydney T - University of Liverpool View Entire Review
From studying abroad I gained a stronger sense of independence as well as much greater confidence to get out and talk to new people. It was definitely a worthwhile experience and gave me many skills and new opinions I don't think I ever would have learned from staying inside the USA. About
The University of Liverpool is the ideal study abroad destination for undergraduates across all fields of study. Founded in 1881, the University of Liverpool is a founding member of the prestigious Russell Group, a group of the leading UK research universities. Over 80% of the University’s research is considered world leading, and the University is associated with nine Nobel Prize winners. As an added benefit, students who complete a study abroad programme at the University of Liverpool will be eligible for a 10% tuition discount off a future postgraduate programme.
Offering study abroad programmes across all three faculties, with subjects in Management and Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Humanities, and more, students can take modules across the university whilst earning credit for degree programmes at home. The Liverpool Management School is AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA accredited with wide connections in industry across the UK. The University prides itself on its world-class facilities including innovative labs for students across STEM fields.
Aside from its high academic standard, the University of Liverpool offers students a chance to truly immerse themselves in British culture and improve their cultural awareness, a skill now more vital than ever before in an increasingly globalised society. With over 200 societies to join and state of the arts facilities including a fitness centre and two libraries on campus, there is plenty to get involved with to enhance students’ experience.
The campus itself is based in the heart of Liverpool, a thriving arts, music and cultural capital with an immense passion for sport. The city has been ranked as one of the 'friendliest cities' in the world (Rough Guides, 2016) and has been voted as the ‘safest city in the UK’ (Confused.com, 2021).

It is also one of the most cost-effective destinations in the UK and perfectly situated for travel, with the city just 2 hours on the direct train from London, less than an hour’s drive from Wales and an hours flight from Dublin, making it ideal for exploring all that the UK has to offer.
