What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned to live independently more than I did at my home university. I made many new friend from all over the U.S with similar interests.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

CIEE assigns more work than most study abroad programs. The workload between all classes was spaced out in a way that you had a large assignment/project due every week. This made it difficult to plan weekend trips or just see the city itself

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I lived in a Residencia (dormitory) with American and local students. We were given individual rooms with our own bathroom. The kitchen was shared with another student.

CIEE organized cultural exchanges with local students throughout the semester.

The program recommended students to english speaking doctors

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Being introduced to new places, cultures, cuisines, etc.
  • Studying Architecture in a city filled with ancient as well as modern marvels
* What could be improved?
  • Cultural immersion: meeting locals
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? To take advantage of every minute I had there, because, before I knew it, the semester was over.
