About the UAEMex
The Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMex), founded in 1828 as the Scientific Literary Institute, is the largest public university in the State of Mexico with over 70,000 students. It is nationally recognized as a leading insitution that is committed to students, always offering them the best opportunities, facilities, and life changing experiences. The UAEMex was ranked 10 in Mexico by the QS Ranking and received the QS Stars Rated for Excellence.
The UAEMex comprises 21 faculties and 1 school of arts, 10 university centers, 6 academic professional units, 18 research centers, 2 research institutes, and 83 cultural and support organisms. The university offers 174 undergraduate programs and 103 graduate programs. There are 17 campuses across the State surrounding Mexico City, and the main campus is located in the city of Toluca.
Our faculty staff includes teachers from overseas and we welcome international students from a wide range of countries, including: Argentina, Brazil, France, Japan, Peru, and Spain, among others every year. There are various programs offered in English and, by studying at the UAEM, improving your Spanish will be easy since you will be totally immersed in the culture.
