I felt super safe the whole time, which was a question that people asked a lot when I returned.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Not being solely tourists and seeing only propaganda, but the real Ghana.
  • The friendliness of everyone, on the trip and the people we met
  • Everything I learned and saw; dance, drums, art, food, etc.
* What could be improved?
  • More time spent in Cape Coast
  • Learning about the politics and how people view/care about them
  • More Ghanaian chocolate!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Bring more snacks, just to have when you want a midnight snack or crave chocolate, and buy a better drum bag.
