What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile because you get to experience different cultures and lifestyle other then your own. Keep an open mind and you will have fun.

Very nice, helpful, cool, fun, and always there for you.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

All the housing places the interns get placed at are very nice. You have a private bedroom, and the rest you share. Rhey provide kitchen accessories, a couch, tv, ect.

* Food:

There are so many options for food in HK. You have lots of options, and you won't get tired of it.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The culture is great! HK is very modern so everyone can fit in. Some areas where it's hard to understand due to language barrier. You can always get around though.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

The health in HK is nice just don't drink tap water. Everyone else is fine!

* Safety:

People in HK are very friendly and sweet! I felt very safe while I was there I would safe it's one of the safest place to be.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

The accommodation where you get place are nice and clean. You get to meet people from all over the world and make lasting friendships. There are fun excursions we go on as a whole group.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It just depends on what you want to do so it varies for everyone. HK is pretty expensive But there's plenty of things you can do that's also cheap.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Put a several dollars aside each day and st the end it will add up for you to spend later.

  • Have more events for interns whether it's not included in the program
  • amount of money in octopus card-consider if people were to get lost

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish maybe if there was a map or something provided because Google maps and other apps was hard to get to the destination
