What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I can succeed on my own - always a lesson worth revisiting. A new appreciation for the culture and cuisine.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I felt like I got the absolute most out of my 6 week courses! They were well done and taught in a manner that was conducive to learning that quickly.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Everyone was kind and accommodating!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Host family was great! Enjoyed the experience overall - it truly helped shape my experience for the better!

* Food:

My hosts could cook very well! Yum!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Felt a bit apart from the true local culture like the students were a bubble. I had very few occasions of the ability to meet florentine students and would have liked that experience.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I'd spend about 30 euro per week on lunches
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Things cost about what they do in the states but in euro. Ex. If a sandwhih costs 5 dollars and 30 cents in the states it will cost 5.30 euro. But the conversion factor is still something to consider especially for large purchases! Don't use it as a justification of purchases either.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
How would you rate your language skills at the end of the program? Beginner
