What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
To the first: yes. To the second: I learned more about France / French, myself, and the world in general, than any other 4 month period in my life.

Personal Information

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I immensely enjoyed engaging in learning French everyday.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

A house in the 11th arrondissement. I was extremely lucky to have had the family I had. Extremely kind, patient, and understanding. I highly recommend the Host Family option.

* Food:

If you're not eating incredibly well in France you're simply 'doing it wrong'.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

No idea what I'm being asked.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I never once felt scared in Paris.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 100 Euros.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Nothing really.

Language acquisition improvement?

I lived with a host family who I told never to speak anything but French with me. Therefore due to necessity my language skills improved greatly.
