SUNY Geneseo: Traveling - Mediterranean Roots Summer Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
This trip taught me to be flexible. You never know what is to come when traveling but you must make the best of it. It also taught me that there are other cultures out there in this world, and you must respect those cultures and assimilate into them.

The instructor did a great job helping us assimilate to the culture around, but also gave us the opportunity to explore the culture ourselves. This flexibility is what made the trip so much fun and educational.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Not many health issue but the ones that did arise were handled well.

* Safety:

I consistently felt safe no matter where we traveled to.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I was able to see so many "bucket list" locations and site all within one affordable trip. I gained a strong knowledge of philosophy and humanities that i never knew about before and believe everyone should learn. The traveling within the trip taught me many life lessons and prepared me that much more for being out in the real world.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

It does tend to get prices when purchasing your own meals, although for what we saw and experienced it was very inexpensive.
