SUNY Geneseo: Traveling - Mediterranean Roots Summer Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?

I learned so much more than humanities and ancient greeks/romans. I learned the culture and a new lifestyle. I made new friends that go to Geneseo and had moments with amazing people (locals) that I will cherish for the rest of my life. I'd go again in a second.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.	Humanities became so interesting to me because we were learning about the ancient romans in greeks right where it all happened. It was incredible!
* Host Country Program Administration On-site administration of your program	Our professor, Dr. Elias Savelllos, took care of everything and he did an amazing job!
* Housing: How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?	We stayed in villas, personal apartments, and hotels. All of them were beyond anything I could have imagined. The apartments gave us a feel for the real culture of living in the city, and the villas were incredible! I loved all of the living conditions.
* Food:	Nothings better than food in Greece and Italy! Also, our extra program cost money went to group meals which was great and saved us more of our spending money!
* Social & Cultural Integration: How integrated did you feel with the local culture?	Loved every minute of it! I really don't have any complaints.
* Health Care: How well were health issues addressed during the program?
* Safety:	Health issues were addressed better than I expected. One girl had a root canal in Athens and it was taken care of fine!
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program?	Yes
