What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes, I never thought I would make it to a different country and it has shown me a lot about what other cultures are like in comparison to our own.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I think study abroad is a great way to learn information that can otherwise be seen as boring very interesting and exciting.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Internet was hard to get at the beginning which caused concern and problems, there was no library access.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

There was no cookware at all which made it hard and expensive to get meals, there were problems with the plumbing at times, but it was ok.

* Food:

Vegetarian food was difficult to find especially at pre planned dinners with the group. Healthy food was a problem too.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The people were very willing to help there was a lot of places to go and things to see.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I never really felt unsafe for the most part and there weren't any medical issues that occurred.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? A lot more than you would think, probably at least $500-$1,000
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You buy a lot more food out than you would expect because there was no where to cook in the dorms, and it is easier to spend money that doesn't look like your own currency.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
