Study Abroad Programs in Czech Republic

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
First, a misconception about East Europe was erased. Before going to Prague everyone was like "Prague is an East European city, it must be dangerous and they communist" But it was very safe and the people are really friendly. Then visited different European cities, it was an eye opener, learned the culture , explored the political situation between EU and United States.

Prague is a very safe city. I was at the downtown, not far from Dancing Towers at Prague. People are good, in fact I was out alone till 3 a.m. and it was very safe.

* Food:

I have dietary restrictions. As a Muslim I can only eat only Halal food so it was hard to find Halal food but nearly at the end of the month I found some and it was good. Doner, Gyro and later dined on Subways sandwich. Czech is very average.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Had field trips to communism museum, Bone chapel, Terezin and they were really an amazing trips and experience. Not just that, I traveled to other European cities during the weekend like Vienna, Paris, London, Brussels, Rome , Budapest and Madrid. Really amazing.
